On a recent visit throughout the Santa Clara Valley wine region I rediscovered a culinary treat that I had originally found four years earlier – Almond Sparkling Wine Champagne from Rapazzini Winery in Gilroy. A fruity, yet masculine delight. Created by Alex Larson, Rapazzini’s own “food guy,” a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Alex’s creative approach to winemaking led him to this unusual and delectable concoction that pairs delightfully with desserts and cakes alike.
As an added bonus, I found in their tasting room the perfect wine glass to house this bubbly sensation – the original stemmed jelly jar champagne flute from Redneck.
